These bags are made by the women of the Wayuu tribe who live in the desert of Colombia near Venezuela. Expertly weaved, each bag is hand-made and unique taking several days to create. The tribe relies heavily on the crafts that they create to support themselves in their increasingly arid desert location. The bright colors and tribal patterns that they use stand out in contrast to their environment and the centuries of hardships that their tribe have faced. We are proud to work with their community and support the continuation of their culture and traditions.
